I TOLD YOU SO & I LIED (two posts back)➡️ Did I n I TOLD YOU SO & I LIED (two posts back)➡️

Did I not tell yall once the rodeo came to Houston the skies were going to go against us senior + family photographers?! Happens every single spring in Texas and makes senior sessions, Galveston beach minis & family photo shoots a teeeeeny bit stressful. Senior photographers are all in crunch time for graduation and welp Texas weather says hold my cup of rainwater.

Also I low key lied like 100% I was trying to reverse psychology Mother Nature into maybe not raining this year in that post and it DID NOT WORK! I do not want an entire 7+ days of rain puleeeeeze!

Class of 2026 has followed in last year’s high sch Class of 2026 has followed in last year’s high school senior classes footsteps and made their Bibles the center of their sessions and their lives.

And honestly this song but especially this part will forever be my favorite! Back in January my girls and their friends came home from the most amazing experience at passion conference in Dallas singing this song and it’s been on repeat ever since.
Texas weather has been so good to us high school s Texas weather has been so good to us high school senior photographers (and class of 2026 seniors) this year! So I’m high five’ing our big lone star state and offering Bribes to keep it this way….

houston senior photographers over here hoping the weather stays strong despite the upcoming Houston livestock show and rodeo! My dad is no weatherman but he has always sworn that March gets extra wet over the rodeo weeks because of all of the animals and people packed into downtown Houston!

But then again rain in March means pretty flower fields for spring senior sessions soooooo I guess it’s a win win!
🎉FINALLY IN THE FEED🎉 Half way through freshmen ye 🎉FINALLY IN THE FEED🎉
Half way through freshmen year and I’m just now sharing her university of Arkansas dorm transformation that was worthy of its own @hgtv episode! But also because I am mid planning another dorm flip for my class of 2026 senior (Texas A&M dorm room specs are much different than u of a ones in case you were wondering)

Yes you know my husband built this insane desk hutch and if you watched my dorm room tops and tricks highlight then you know we did some big things to save money and create as much space as possible!

YOU HAVE TO READ THIS CAPTION…Class of 2026 (AND S YOU HAVE TO READ THIS CAPTION…Class of 2026 (AND SENIOR MOMS) you need to do these THREE things right now (because guess what?! you’re halfway done with senior year yall!)

1️⃣ you need to schedule your senior pics if you plan to take them!!! Like hard stop for getting your pics back by graduation and grad announcements designs if you aren’t on a photographers books immediately.

2️⃣start buying IMPORTANT things for your dorm and set up an Amazon wishlist for friends and family. May is going to come quick and stores know what you need to buy so prices go up and inventory goes down, the closer to summer we get. I suggest buying one expensive item, two mid priced items and three less expensive ones each month from now on until August so you don’t get hit with a huge bill before you move in to college…this spreads out that dorm spending.

3️⃣ decide who you are mailing graduation announcements to and make a list of their addresses. You can also start planning your grad party theme and PICK YOUR DATE so you can book the venue and the vendors.

As a mom to back to back senior girls I know Senior year is about to go from fast forward speed to a straight up blur.

Class of 2026 and 2027 raise your hand if you know Class of 2026 and 2027 raise your hand if you know what the best thing about senior photos in Houston is!!!!

ANSWER: location variety! Because in this part of Texas urban vibes don’t just live in the heart of downtown Houston, Austin, Dallas or San Antonio!!!! Urban senior photos with me don’t mean chaos, crowds, galleria traffic, and downtown Houston parking nightmares! We can get that downtown vibe anywhere from the woodlands to Galveston.

One of my favorite parts of senior photography is helping you choose a location that fits your style - NOT JUST WHAT’S TRENDY OR CLOSE TO MY HOUSE. Because let’s become honest the right location should evil ate your senior style not compete with it!
