The SILENT LAUNCH
Yeah yeah if you have been around here for any number of the past 13 years you know that I tend to go radio silent mid sept and some out of the family photography haze sometime mid january…well this year was particularly crazy because i decided to take the TEXAS TOUR and shot minis sessions in every Texas city from dallas texas to my hometown of austin and a few cities in between (but we will get to those …prob in january ha). well this year I took some time and focused on my new found love for the middle years age. I worked with the best boutique in downtown tomball Kids Anthem and we created a day of pouring into this beautiful age! A feel good day dedicated to them, and to what makes them special, unique and brilliant. The launch happened in a simple instagram story and we filled all 18 spots within 4 total minutes! For a hot second I felt like Georgoe Strait or Garth Brooks at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo or a Taylor swift concert hahahahaha!
You will Change the World
While these sessions filled faster than I ever imagined they were exactly what I had hoped and dreamed they would be! Sharon and I had a simple homework assignment for each parent that booked their daughter a SHINE session. WE then used what we learned to create a 15 minute session of filling each girls cup. IF you have met me you know that you and I are besties before you even meet me ha but even I was a little nervous about getting these girls to open up their hearts to this out of the box mini session. But let me tell you, boy did they show up, share and feel the love! YALL the entire day was filled with tears and hope and love!
The Emotional Storyteller
I didn’t want to fill the day with props or makeup or the typical teenager facade. NOPE. We went basic, simple and comfortable…i wanted to tell their stories though their emotions, I wanted to capture their accomplishments but also keep it real. Each girl left with a gift that will hopefully be there on the rough days and serve as a reminder of just how special they are and that they will indeed change the world.
