As our kids get older a fall mini session is the perfect way to squeeze family pics in, between practices and schoolwork. However minis sessions are just that, that are SHORT sessions with limited locations and predetermined dates so precession preparation is crucial to a successful session.

If you have lived in Houston Texas for more than 2 minutes then you know that our weather is unpredictable. Sadly, I don’t have a direct line to Mother Nature. Therefore, we are often at the mercy of our weather here in the Cypress/Tomball Area. Fall here in the Woodlands can bring everything from Hurricanes in the Gulf to sweltering heat mid November. Lucky for us I have been capturing family moments for almost 15 years here in Houston. This allows me to prepare for every scenario with predetermined rain out dates for mini sessions. I even work hard to dress each client in layers that can be easily removed or added.
Houston Has amazing locations
Finally remember Houston has a location for every family vibe. If your crew is hot natured a creaked or beach session are a great choice! If you have older kids, downtown rooftops and skyline streets are going to be their jam. Little ones do best in open fields where they can run carefree and safely.
