Last year I was commissioned for a commercial contract to capture a new children’s park here in Houston. While I have photographed designer homes, hair salons, influencers headshots. Even children’s toys, clothing and a fudge company! But y’all, a park was a new one, and of course I said YES! I love a challenge and the park was truly the coolest park Houston or I have ever seen!
Earthscape is actually a Canadian company but have created work of art play structures all of the world, so to see one in our own backyard in Tomball is incredible. The company’s designer team is filled with kid at heart architects who create innovative playgrounds that connect children with nature. Lucky for us they have actually created three of the most EPIC Children’s parks in our side of town!
Three Parks you Have to Take your Kids to in Houston
The Amira Playground
The Amira playground is a signature playscape for this master planned community north of Houston in Tomball, Texas. “As the site of a former Egyptian Arabian horse ranch, the developer, Johnston Development Corp., requested team the design team create a unique play experience inspired by the site’s heritage. Amira was the name of one of the most popular horses on the ranch and became our muse for the preeminent play feature.” Earthscape.
Dragonfly Park – Bridgeland Community
Did you know that this children’s park sits in the masterplanned community of Bridgeland right off of Highway 99? I know you will agree, that the crowned jewel of this park is the enormous dragonfly structure. I promise, this dragonfly will keep your children entertained, climbing and enjoying the fresh air while you enjoy a Texas sunset.
Pine Cove Park in Klein Texas
Those of you that live in Klein Texas will love the final park, Pine Cove Park. I think the best part of this public park is that it includes bridges and three amazing climbing towers. As a mom the variety of entry points enclosed with netting for safety put my mind at ease.
