Three tips for your in home photoshoot:

Find the right light.
When a client books an in home family photo session the first thing I ask them is to walk around their house at various times of the day. Their homework is to send me cell snaps of the light in the rooms that they think they want to take pictures in. Spoiler Alert Kitchens almost always have the best natural light. Plus what family doesn’t love baking pancakes, cookies or muffins together? Not interested in flour fights or taste testing? No problem, we can snuggle and read books in any room! And most rooms get good light at some point during the day.

No shoes No Problem.
One very important but typically overlooked detail when choosing an in home photography session is realistic comfort. This means if you wouldn’t normally walk around your house with shoes on when I’m not there, then you shouldn’t be wearing them when I am there. Like seriously, who snuggles their kids on the couch with shoes on?!
