Six Months of Saying “Yes”
Since I have neglected the blog quite a bit let me catch you up…This past spring was the year of Travel for work, traveling to clients far away traveling for Speaking engagements, traveling for more speaking and a tiny bit of travel for fun. As y’all know I typically speak one time a year at one conference, mostly because we don’t have family local to I am the chauffeur to any and everything for my girls, plus I am the Mom y’all, I just now every minute of everybody schedule….and if I’m being honest I’m a self proclaimed scaredy cat I can really only handle saying yes onces to big opportunities that scare the every living glitter out of me! well last year daddy cheeks encouraged me to take 6 months and say yes! And So I did! I traveled from Costa Rica to Italy, Florida to South Carolina to Kentucky for sessions and speaking! The experiences were priceless and the memories will never be forgotten…but ITALY took the cake! mostly because my family rarely gets to go with me to these things and this is the first time they have ever heard me speak to a room full of photographers! More about our personal adventures soon….but if you want to see the videos and behind the scenes head over to my instagram stories and watch the Italy highlights

Italian Sand and the language barrier
So One of my “yes’s” whisked my away for 3 days of teaching, motivational speaking and beach family shooting Lido Di Camaiore Italy! What a whirlwind! Y’all know how much I love shooting on the beaches of Texas and Florida so how could i pass up an Italian beach shoot?! I was scared, I’m not going to lie and it was a heck of a long flight to Germany then Italy. Some parts of my 3 classes were certainly lost in translation & directing the model families was a little sticky at times, the language barrier was a mere blip bc hugs, tears & laughter are a universal way of communicating & we shared so much love without even needing to speak the same language.

Any Beach is a good Beach!
As you know I’d travel anywhere to photograph families, as it has quickly become my all time favorite thing to photograph so much so that I am traveling all over my own home state for minis this fall! So while I pull up the United Ap to search for flights message me and tell me what city I need to come to next! In the meantime take a look at what Italian beaches looks like through my eyes!
